Chris is on the product team at Crunchy Data. Being a data nerd, until last December, Chris was mostly an AI skeptic. Why do AI when most things can be solved with a SQL query? Then, things changed with the launch of ChatGPT, which made AI easily consumable for all developers. For the past decade, Chris held various roles at as-a-service companies including developer, on-call operations, product, support, sales, and marketing. For most of those years, he was at a database-as-a-service company where he launched their Postgres product, and supported Elastic Search, MongoDB, Redis, and Influx. For the others, he was building as-a-service products, including a carbon offset exchange and a CRM for colleges and universities to improve student retention.
