Session: The Necessity of Belonging
As a long time inclusion consultant in information technology (IT), diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) has struggled to make a significant impact our lives, our play, and our work. A part of the problem is the entire DEI theory. Many resent the everything about DEI. Too many black women, inconsistent policies and practices, and the lack of belonging. In this talk, Drew Stinnett and I will introduce BI + DE (BIDE). In concert with this talk, Drew and I will share information about our Podcast: Imminient Teachnology and our efforts to inform consumers about the good and bad of technology on marginalized communities.
