Session: Hacking Decentralized RPC
Running blockchain nodes to support your dApps’ on-chain read and write requirements tends to be fiscally untenable. Not surprisingly, Web3 developers have been flocking toward integrating their dApps with hosted JSON-RPC gateways. Alas, centralized “RPC as SaaS” introduces bottlenecks challenging the availability, reliability and Web3 ethos of dApps. We discuss open-source tooling allowing dAPP developers to easily create reusable and sharable decentralized RPC solutions from existing RPC endpoints with Aqua, a distributed choreography and composition engine for peer-to-peer networks, and Wasm without having to change their dAPP code.
