Session: Getting the Most Out of Your Terminal with the GitHub CLI and GitHub Copilot

The GitHub CLI brings GitHub to your terminal. But it’s more than just a front-end for git commands, the GitHub CLI is also open source and extensible, with a robust API and tons of community extensions to take your productivity to the next level.

If you’ve ever struggled with having to memorize tons of git commands or had to string together a lot of shell scripts to pull off the perfect automation, you need the GitHub CLI.

In this session, we’ll talk about the GitHub CLI and how it has evolved, dive into some of the community extensions and workflows, and show how you can use the CLI inside GitHub Actions to speed up your automations as well. We’ll also look at how the AI-powered GitHub Copilot CLI lets you turn natural language into shell commands for the GitHub CLI and beyond.
