Join GitLab at All Things Open! Stop by our booth #28 for demos and discussions with our team.

On October 15, attend the Inclusion & Diversity in Open Source event (rooms 306 A, B and C) to to hear GitLab Developer Evangelist Fatima Sarah Khalid’s lightning talk, Given the Choices We Have: The Power of Allyship. This engaging talk takes the audience on a journey inspired by the invisible knapsack. Participants will learn how to engage with the role of allyship to create more inclusive communities. They’ll also gain insights into the impacts of marginalization, and learn how to become allies themselves. Join Fatima to learn more about how you can take action, lead by example, and advocate for others in your teams, organizations, and communities.

Then, on October 17, head to meeting room 306C and join GitLab Senior Open Source Program Manager, Bryan Behrenshausen, alongside Heidi Hess von Ludewig, for a tutorial on open leadership: Using the Open Leadership Assessment Project to Learn About Your Open Leadership Style. At this session, you’ll learn how to use the community-produced Open Leadership Assessment tool to determine how embracing open principles like transparency, inclusivity, adaptability, collaboration, and community can improve your leadership activities.
